Patient Usually Complains Of
Patient presents for evaluation of early-stage hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), diagnosed via [imaging modality/biopsy]. Patient reports [asymptomatic/mild RUQ discomfort/fatigue]. Known history of [Cirrhosis/Hepatitis B/Hepatitis C/NAFLD]. Current Child-Pugh score: [A/B]. ECOG performance status: [0/1]. No clinical evidence of portal hypertension or decompensation.
Clinical Examination Findings
General: Patient is alert, oriented, and in no acute distress. Abdomen: Soft, non-tender, non-distended. Liver edge: [palpable/non-palpable], firm, non-tender. Spleen: [palpable/non-palpable]. No evidence of ascites, caput medusae, or peripheral edema. Sclera: Anicteric. Skin: No spider angiomata or palmar erythema noted.
Treatment Protocol
Treatment plan for early-stage HCC (BCLC Stage 0/A): [Resection/Liver Transplantation/Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)]. Patient counseled on risks, benefits, and alternatives. Baseline labs: AFP, LFTs, INR, CBC. Referral to multidisciplinary tumor board for final staging and treatment optimization. Monitor for post-procedural complications.
