Patient Usually Complains Of
Patient presents with complaints of ocular irritation, dryness, and a visible yellowish-white elevated lesion on the bulbar conjunctiva. Symptoms are exacerbated by wind, dust, and prolonged sun exposure. No history of vision loss, pain, or discharge.
Clinical Examination Findings
Slit-lamp examination reveals a localized, elevated, yellowish-white deposit on the bulbar conjunctiva, typically adjacent to the limbus in the interpalpebral fissure. No evidence of corneal involvement or vascular encroachment. Normal anterior chamber depth and clear lens.
Treatment Protocol
Conservative management initiated. Prescribed preservative-free artificial tears QID for symptomatic relief. Advised strict UV protection using 100% UV-blocking sunglasses and wide-brimmed hats. Topical anti-inflammatory agents (mild corticosteroids) reserved for acute inflammatory episodes.
