Patient Usually Complains Of
Patient presents with a complaint of [nasal/temporal] ocular surface growth. Symptoms include [foreign body sensation/redness/tearing/blurred vision]. Duration of symptoms is [number] months/years. History of significant UV exposure noted. No prior ocular surgeries or trauma.
Clinical Examination Findings
Slit-lamp examination reveals a fibrovascular, triangular-shaped growth extending from the bulbar conjunctiva onto the cornea, crossing the limbus. Location: [nasal/temporal]. Size: [X] mm. Corneal involvement: [minimal/moderate/severe]. Anterior chamber: deep and quiet. Lens: [clear/cataractous]. Intraocular pressure: [normal/elevated].
Treatment Protocol
Management plan: 1. Lubricating eye drops (preservative-free) QID for ocular surface irritation. 2. UV protection (sunglasses with 100% UV block). 3. Topical NSAIDs or mild steroids for acute inflammation. 4. Surgical excision with conjunctival autograft indicated if growth is progressive, inducing astigmatism, or causing significant cosmetic concern.
