Clinical Presentation & Protocol
Patient Usually Complains Of
Patient presents with lateral knee pain, mechanical symptoms including locking, catching, and giving way. Pain exacerbated by pivoting, twisting, or deep squatting.
Clinical Examination Findings
Patient is in no acute distress, alert and oriented. Ambulating with an antalgic gait favoring the affected limb.
Treatment Protocol
Conservative management: RICE protocol, NSAIDs, activity modification, and physical therapy for quadriceps/hamstring strengthening. Surgical consultation for arthroscopic partial meniscectomy or repair.
