Clinical Presentation & Protocol
Patient Usually Complains Of
Patient presents with acute/chronic low back pain radiating to the lateral aspect of the leg/foot, consistent with L5 radiculopathy. Pain exacerbated by flexion, sitting, and Valsalva maneuver.
Clinical Examination Findings
Patient is in moderate distress due to pain, guarding lumbar movements. No signs of systemic infection or constitutional symptoms.
Treatment Protocol
Conservative management: NSAIDs, muscle relaxants, physical therapy, and activity modification. Consider epidural steroid injection if refractory.
