Patient Usually Complains Of
Complains of diffuse anterior knee pain (behind the kneecap). Worse with descending stairs, squatting, and prolonged sitting with knees flexed (positive 'Movie Theater' sign). No true locking.
Clinical Examination Findings
Evaluated for flat feet (pes planus) or increased Q-angle.
Treatment Protocol
1. Dedicated VMO and core/hip abductor strengthening (PT). 2. McConnell taping or patellar tracking brace. 3. Activity modification. 4. NSAIDs prn.
