Clinical Presentation & Protocol
Patient Usually Complains Of
Deep, aching groin pain, occasionally radiating to the anterior thigh/knee. Insidious onset, worse with weight-bearing, walking, and transitioning from sitting to standing. Morning stiffness lasts < 30 minutes.
Clinical Examination Findings
Comfortable at rest. Overweight/Obese habitus common.
Treatment Protocol
1. NSAIDs + Analgesics. 2. Using a cane in the contralateral hand. 3. PT for hip abductors. 4. Weight-bearing Pelvis AP/Lateral X-rays.
