Patient Usually Complains Of
Patient reports localized hand/wrist pain, catching, or numbness/tingling (paresthesias). Symptoms strictly worse at night or with repetitive gripping. Patient frequently shakes hand to relieve symptoms ('Flick sign').
Clinical Examination Findings
Normal.
Treatment Protocol
1. Nocturnal Splinting. 2. NSAIDs. 3. Local Corticosteroid Injection. 4. Ordered EMG/NCS if indicated.
